2010 · to the stranger on the plane

This is Colby Foster from Charlotte, North Carolina. We sat beside each other on the plane ride back from Mexico City. Thank you for taking time to tell me about Under Armour and all the exciting things that go along with working for a great company. It was a pleasure to talk to you and I learned a lot from listening to your stories.

You mentioned that Under Armour has a summer intern program. I believe I have many skills and experiences that would benefit your company greatly. I believe I could play a vital part in helping Under Armour reach it’s goals for 2010. I looked at the website on the business card you gave me. I saw that the applications for the 2010 summer intern program had already been closed. Is there anyway you could ask your wife in HR if I could send her my resume and do a phone interview to let Under Armour know I am very serious about becoming involved with the mission of Under Armour. I know I can offer many things to Under Armour over the course of the summer.

I know you are very busy and I truly appreciate you taking time out of your day to read this email. I hope you had a good dinner last night with your wife and enjoy your time in France this week.
